RESIDENTS at Flowers Manor in Chippenham were asked to share their favourite jokes to get into the spirit of Edinburgh Fringe Festival, which runs throughout August.
Jill, aged 93, said: “Today a man knocked on the door and asked for a small donation to the local pool. I gave him a glass of water!.
Pauline, 90, added: “Before you criticise someone walk a mile in their shoes, that way when you do criticise them you are a mile away – and have their shoes.”
Margaret, 93, said: “My daughter told me to stop impersonating a flamingo. I had to put my foot down.”
Trevor, 88, added: “Where did the music teacher leave her keys? In the piano.”
Sue, 77, said: “Knock knock, who’s there? Nana. Nana who? Nana your busines.”
Rachel Gittins, head of lifestyle at Flowers Manor, said: “Our residents keep us in stitches with their constant jokes. So, to celebrate Edinburgh Fringe Festival, we wanted to share some of their favourite jokes. Who knew we had such a talented bunch of comedians living under our roof? An open mic night might be on the cards.”
