A SOLIHULL care home will welcome veterans, their family and friends through its doors when it hosts an open day on Friday.
Royal Star & Garter will showcase the person-centred care it delivers during the open day. Those wishing to attend are asked to register in advance. The open day is for veterans or partners of veterans, as well as an accompanying relative or friend, and will take place between 11am and 1pm.
Shirley Hall, director of care and wellbeing at Royal Star & Garter, said: “We understand that choosing a care home for yourself or someone you love is a difficult decision and can be daunting.
“I hope those attending the open days will have some worries eased when they see the excellent care we provide.”
The open day is the second of the summer at the Home, following one in June which was fully booked out.
Those attending will be given a glimpse of everyday life at Royal Star & Garter. They will have the chance to chat to staff, carers and members of the Wellbeing Team, over a cuppa and a slice of cake.
They will also have a tour of the Home, which will take in nursing and dementia care areas, the in-house physiotherapy room and hair salon, garden, activities room and lounges.
A range of activities, including music, physiotherapy and pampering sessions, will also be taking place, which visitors are welcome to join or just watch.
